LinkedIn's New Link Sticker is the Solution to Your External Traffic Woes

Linkedin just announced the launch of their new link sticker feature, designed to help their users drive external traffic from their network of contacts on LinkedIn to sites and pages on the Internet. This new feature has rolled out as an optional service only, but many users are already able to take advantage of it, including some freelance writers in need of finding ways to drive external traffic to their websites and blogs. Here’s how the link sticker works.

The Benefits of The Link Sticker

The link sticker allows LinkedIn users to share articles and other content from external sources directly on their profile. This is a great way to drive traffic to your website or blog, as well as increase your reach on LinkedIn. Plus, the link sticker is easy to use and can be placed anywhere on your profile. It also integrates seamlessly with most modern browsers. You just have to click the Share button on any browser that supports native sharing (for example, Safari), then click Add It To My Profile. Then you can add it to your existing posts by clicking Attach It To A Post. Finally, you'll have the option of inserting it into text updates by clicking Include As Text.

How It Works

The new LinkedIn link sticker can be found in the share menu when you post something on the site. Simply click on the Get a link option and then select Create a link. This will generate a unique URL that you can then post on your website or blog. When someone clicks on this URL, they will be taken to your LinkedIn profile. In order to get started, all you need to do is create a LinkedIn account and start sharing your unique URLs!

Testing The New LinkedIn Feature

I was one of the lucky users who got to test out LinkedIn's new link sticker feature. And I can say that I'm impressed! The feature allows you to share a link with your connections, and then see how many people clicked on it. Plus, it comes with some handy analytics so you can see which of your connections are most interested in what you're sharing. If you're looking for a way to drive more external traffic to your site, this is definitely the way to go.
